Every school year, students at the Friedenauer Gemeinschaftsschule are given the opportunity to visit and work with bee colonies. Prerequisite for the participation in the group is a deep interest in the three types of bees. Interested students can either attend an intensive course lasting several hours or work on their own with self-study materials and their parent’s support. Before visiting the bee colonies they present their skills to the teacher in a self-defined test format.
