Art project at FGS: Cyanotype – a historical photographic printing process

In collaboration with the renowned Berlin artist Nicole Woischwill, we will return to the origins of photography. Developed in 1842 by the English naturalist Sir Herschel, this process, also known as iron blueprinting, involves photographic prints coated by hand on watercolor paper which are then exposed by UV light (sunlight) in a contact process. In addition to the theoretical exploration of photography, the students will make their own cyanotypes.
